HCG Diet - This really WORKS! Let me tell you my story ...

I used to look like the picture on the left, now I look like the picture on the right. I am stabilizing well at this weight (155) and am looking REALLY forward to losing that last 20 pounds soon.
HCG Diet, My Story

People ask me all of the time, "What can I do to lose weight? I have tried everything and NOTHING works!"

So many of us want to lose weight but find it very difficult or even impossible most of the time. This has always been a problem for me to discuss because, up until now, I have to confess...I didn't really have an answer.

I could always tell a person the basic principles of how to lose weight, but I hadn't ever found a permanent and safe solution and I always felt a bit hypocritical since I was still struggling with weight myself.

You see, in some people, candida can cause weight gain and then ongoing difficulty in maintaining a healthy weight. Even when the candida is gone, we have damaged our metabolisms by dieting to try to get the weight under control.

Weight has been a tremendous problem for me from the time I was 14 years old.

Yes, fighting candida, parasites, getting rid of toxins, etc have all helped me to lose weight in the short term. But, over time, I would slowly gain the weight back.

This cycle started when I was 18 and went on a starvation diet to escape an uncomfortable family situation and to impress my then boyfriend, Tom, who eventually became my wonderful husband. I got down to 135 pounds that time, but it was a continual fight to maintain and I gained everything back and more.
Over the next 30 years, I think I tried every diet possible - low fat, low carb, low cal, and combinations of all of the above. Weight watchers didn't work at all for me and I hated having to go in for the "weighing"; I tried all kinds of diet products, too.

I had drawn the line at not wanting to take any type of stimulant, though; I wanted to lose weight naturally. So, I found myself on the weightloss treadmill that so many of us find ourselves on. I would diet, lose some pounds, and then gain it all back and start over again.

Then, a few years ago, the situation got even worse, I was diagnosed with a condition called PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome). This condition is characterized by a severe hormonal imbalance - lots of estrogen, testosterone, DHEA, and no progesterone.

Unfortunately, PCOS makes it almost impossible to lose weight; the only thing you can do is slow down the rate of gain. After this latest discovery, my weight had climbed to 197 pounds.

Two years ago, I tried a low-carb, low-fat, low-cal diet on which I lost 45 pounds. However, I was miserable on this diet. It took me 9 months to lose the weight (yes, only 5 pounds per month) and I felt deprived the entire time. I also went through times where I was almost passing out because of the low calories and had little or no energy.

I lost the weight, though - damaged my metabolism even more; and then, two years later, I found myself staring at 197 pounds AGAIN.

Two things happened that really got me going on finding a "weight loss cure".

The first thing was a conversation with my twin brother, an ER doctor. He essentially made some comments about people who were overweight that I thought were terribly unfair. He looked down his nose at me (figuratively) and told me that fat people didn't care about themselves, that they didn't work hard enough to lose weight. He felt that if they would just exercise enough and eat "right" that everyone should be able to achieve their ideal weight; it worked for him, it should work for everyone. I was shocked and very angry that he had that opinion and then I made the mental jump to realizing that he felt that way about... me.

But, darn it, he was WRONG!! I have had to work harder, sacrifice more than almost anyone I know in order to only weigh 197 pounds. If I let myself go and didn't work at it (all the time), I would certainly weigh a lot more.

He didn't take into account that people may have different concerns that actually prevent them from losing weight no matter how hard they are trying to lose.

The second thing that happened was that a customer of mine called to ask my opinion of a diet she had heard of. She mentioned that a number of people on this diet were losing weight at an incredible rate from all of the right places, that they were not hungry, that they looked great and were resetting their hypothalamus (or metabolism set point). I figured it wouldn't hurt to do some investigation.

But, I wanted a diet that met a few simple requirements:
  1. I didn't want to experience significant hunger or cravings (I had done that before and I knew I wouldn't be able to handle it again).
  2. The diet needed to work fast - I knew if I could see fast results that I would be motivated to continue.
  3. The diet has to be easy to do (I didn't want to buy expensive food from anyone, I needed food I could prepare at home, the simpler the better).
  4. I wanted to target fat, not muscle (particularly my trouble spots at the waist, hips, thighs, and back)
  5. I wanted a diet I could do myself from the comfort of my own home. I didn't want to go anywhere or be accountable to anybody.
  6. And, lastly, I wanted a diet that allowed me to reset my metabolism so I would be able to eat like a normal person without gaining weight ever again.

The diet that my customer mentioned to me met all of my requirements and more...
The diet was developed in the 1950's by Dr. A.T.W. Simeons. Dr. Simeons was born in London, England and he was able to logically apply the properties of a completely, safe and natural hormone to weight loss.

You know, some inventions are found accidentally (the microwave, the cornflake, chocolate chip cookies, popsicles, brandy, Teflon, potato chips and penicillin). This sort of accidental discovery also happened to Dr. Simeons.

He was in India studying the affects of HCG on young boys with a pituitary disorder in the 1950's when he noticed that the HCG was causing a decrease in normally ravenous appetites and weight redistribution from the boys' hips and waists to other, more appropriate, areas of the body.

He decided to study the potential weight loss affects of this hormone and eventually developed a weight loss protocol called the HCG Diet that has been successfully utilized for the past 50 years.
The procedure is very safe, uses only natural hormone and food you cook at home, and is extremely effective.
If you want to read how it works, in Dr. Simeons' own words, you can find his manuscript (Pounds and Inches) on this site.

HCG Protocol Diet After doing a lot of research on the HCG Diet, I decided to use myself as a guinea pig. (I really don't like to recommend things unless I have tried them myself). I found HCG in a sublingual drop form (No way would I have been able to inject myself daily) and I started in..

The first two days are called loading days - you eat a lot of fat which helps to carry the hormone into the system and then you start the low calorie phase of the diet. My starting weight was 197 pounds and my waist measurement was 39 inches. I was shocked the next morning. I got on the scale and had lost 3.5 pounds!

I was down 1.8 the next day and then 1.2 pounds the day after that. I got out of the 190's in 5 days. I still didn't believe it, though. I thought, "Surely the weight loss will become very slow and I will stop losing or I will regain everything." But day after day went by and I continued to lose. Sure, the loss slowed down some, but over 14 days I lost 13.5 pounds maintaining an average rate of loss of almost 1 pound per day.

I was losing weight so fast that people at church were noticing; I even looked thinner to them in my heavy winter coat.

What was thrilling to me was that I was losing weight from all of my former trouble areas.
My waist reduced 3 inches in 12 days and 4.5 inches by 26 days. At 26 days, I had lost a total of 19 inches, cumulatively, from my waist, hips, neck, chest, left forearm, and right thigh.
I was amazed, but I still held off. I had not been able to get under 180 pounds for a couple of years and I was not going to let myself become too excited until I made it past that goal. I blew past 180 pounds by day 23.

All of my stats are posted on our forum if you would like to see the numbers for yourself (Leanne's Stats). In 2 short months, I had lost close to 35 pounds.

During that time I had experienced virtually no hunger, cravings were minimized, energy level was excellent, I was able to workout (elliptical for about 30 minutes per day) and I was sleeping better.

Even my skin was improving! The last time I lost this much weight, it had taken 6 months to do and I had been miserable, weak, hungry and felt deprived the entire time. With HCG all of that changed; this was the way to lose weight!!
