Dr Simeons was born in London, England in 1900. He graduated in medicine (summa cum laude) from the University of Heidelberg located in Heidelberg, Germany. The University of Heidelberg was founded in 1386, it is the oldest university in Germany and was the fourth university founded by the Roman Empire. This is a very reputable, historic institution and today they are associated with over 30 Nobel laureates and the university was famous for its emphasis in research. Dr. Simeons must have attended the University of Heidelberg before World War II as he was in India by 1931.

He finished up post-graduate studies in both Germany and Switzerland he was appointed to a large surgical hospital near Dresden. Later he became engrossed in the study of tropical diseases, and joined the School of Tropical Medicine in Hamburg. He then then spent 2 years in Africa before going to India in 1931. He found himself so fascinated with India and its health problems that he stayed there for 18 years.

He discovered the use of injectable "atebrin for malaria" for which he was awarded a Red Cross Order of Merit, and also a new method of staining malaria parasites now known as "Simeons' stain."

During World War II he held several important posts under the Government of India and conducted extensive research on bubonic plague and leprosy control, and a model leper colony which he built has now become an all-India center.

It was during these years that his interest in psychosomatic diseases began to grow. After India became independent he set up in private practice in Bombay and was frequently consulted by the Government. In 1949, with his wife and three sons, he moved to Rome, where he worked on psychosomatic disorders at the Salvator Mundi International Hospital, until he died somewhat mysteriously in 1970.

Dr. Simeons is the author of several medical books and has contributed to many scientific publications. Obviously, Dr. Simeons was very proficient in reseach and discovery and was commended on a number of occasions. He was certainly a respected doctor.

While Dr. Simeons was in India, he was doing some research on pituitary disorder in young men. The young men presented with unusual placement of fat deposits. The course of study led to injecting these boys with HCG and one curious oberservation was that these subjects lost a markedly ravenous appetite and neither lost nor gained weight. However, the fat moved around on their bodies, and a significant reduction in hip circumference was noted.

Dr. Simeons made a deductive leap and decided to start looking at HCG as a veritable cure to obesity. While he was in Rome and the Salvator Mundi International Hospital, he utilized his clinic to perfect the technique which we know today as the HCG diet. This Weight Loss "cure" has been available since the 1960's. It had a slight following in the 1970's directly after the "Pounds and Inches Mauscript" was released but the diet was unfairly suppressed and has been an underground cure since that time.

Kevin Trudeau brought this diet back to life when he put out his "Weight Loss Cure" book and the diet is gaining a life of its own. Although Trudeau is a polarizing figure, I hope that you will go past that to see for yourself the genius in Dr. Simeons' Protocol. It is truly impressive and works exactly as advertised.

This diet is now something that can be done on your own - you really don't need to spend thousands of dollars with a medical clinic. The protocol is easy to follow and the large majority of people will have no trouble with it. Injections (a major stopping point for me) are no longer required. I have a sublingual HCG that is drops you place under the tongue 3 days per week. Many of the immunity issues and time limitations associated with injected hcG have been solved with the use of sublingual HCG.
