  2. Take 10-15 drops, 3 times per day, morning, afternoon and evening under your tongue
  3. Hold under the tongue for 1 minute then swallow.

  5. Follow Phase 2 Diet Plan (listed below). See how quickly you shed the pounds.

Four Phase Diet Plan

Recommendations Prior to Starting HCG Diet

Candida & Parasites Concerns
If you have candida or parasites, your weight loss may be slower than expected. If you want to maximize weight loss, it may be a very good idea to perform a 1 month cleanse before starting the weight loss part of this protocol.

We specialize in these types of cleanses and can tailor a plan to help with your specific situation.

Symptoms and tests are available on www.stopyeast.com to help determine if you need to detoxify before starting the HCG Diet. We can also help with constipation concerns, nutritional deficiencies, adrenal problems, heavy metal detoxes and more.

Phase 1 (P1)
Loading Days

Days 1 and 2
  1. Begin with a high calorie diet for 2 days (concentrate especially on high amounts of good fats)
    • Fat loading helps to carry the hormone into the body
    • Fat loading also restores important body fat so that your body doesn't crave good fats as you move into the Low Calorie phase
    • If you DON'T do this well, you will be hungry
    • Any weight gained in this phase will be lost in the first 48 hours on the diet.
  2. Take your HCG drops (10-15 drops, 3 times per day - morning, afternoon, evening).
  3. Eat as much as you want on these days.
Good fats include: ice cream, avocado, nuts, cheese, butter, oils, creams, desserts, peanut butter, olive oil, etc..

Phase 2 (P2)
Diet Plan (directly from Dr Simeon's protocol):

Days 3 through 90 (a minimum of 23 days required)
This phase of the HCG Diet forces your body to utilize the abnormal fat the HCG releases. The HCG will cause your body will release 1,500 to 4,000 calories per day of fat which your body will see and use as "food". Which is why you should follow the Very Low Calorie Diet (VLCD) below. Visit our VLCD Recipes pages for recipe ideas

Breakfast:
Tea, coffee and water in any quantity without sugar. Only one tablespoonful of milk allowed in 24 hours. Xylitol or Stevia may be used.

Lunch:
  1. 100 grams (3.5 oz) of veal, beef, chicken breast, fresh white fish, lobster, crab, or shrimp. All visible fat must be carefully removed before cooking, and the meat must be weighed raw. It must be boiled or grilled without additional fat.
** Salmon, eel, herring, dried or pickled fish are not allowed as they are too high in natural fat.
  2. One type of vegetable only to be chosen from the following: spinach, chard, chicory, beet-greens, green salad, tomatoes, celery, fennel, onions, red radishes, cucumbers, asparagus, cabbage.
  3. One bread stick (grissino) or one Melba toast.
  4. An apple, a handful of strawberries, one-half grapefruit or an orange.
Dinner:
  1. 100 grams (3.5 oz) of veal, beef, chicken breast, fresh white fish, lobster, crab, or shrimp.

The juice of one lemon daily is allowed for all purposes.
Salt, pepper, vinegar, all types' mustard, garlic, sweet basil, parsley, thyme, marjoram, etc., may be used for seasoning, but no oil, butter or dressing.

Tea, coffee, plain water, or mineral water are the only drinks allowed, but they may be taken in any quantity and at all times.

In fact, the patient should drink about 2 liters of these fluids per day. Many patients are afraid to drink so much because they fear that this may make them retain more water. This is a wrong notion as the body is more inclined to store water when the intake falls below its normal requirements

Hypoglycemia Concerns:

People with hypoglycemia may need to eat more initially and not go straight to the VLCD 500 calories.

  • Start with a protein in the morning - 1 egg with 2 egg whites scrambled, soft boiled or in an omelet seems to work well at stabilizing blood sugar levels.
  • Eat a protein with lunch and dinner.
  • Spread your other foods out so that you are eating every 2 - 3 hours. You may need to continue this up to 10 days. After a while, your body should adjust and you can make due on less and not need to eat so often.
Hypoglycemia diet strategy make look like this (around 600 calories):
  1. Eggs for breakfast (by 9 am).
  2. Apple (by 11 am)
  3. Chicken Breast & Veggie for lunch (by 1 pm)
  4. Hot Chocolate and Melba Toast (by 3 pm)
  5. Fish (6 oz) and veggie for dinner (by 5 pm)
  6. Strawberries (by 7 pm)

Handling Stalls during Phase 2 (Apple Day)

If you weigh exactly the same for 3 days in a row, utilize an apple day to help break the stall.
  • Start at noon and continue for one 24 hour period
  • eat up to 6 medium sized apples (you do not need to eat all of them if you don't need them)
  • continue till noon the next day.
  • Drink only enough water to quench an uncomfortable thirst
You should lose water weight the next day and continue weight loss as normal.

Phase 2 to Phase 3 Transition:

Stop the Drops
  1. Take your first dose of HCG drops in the morning and then discontinue the drops
  2. Continue the Low Calorie Diet plan for another 72 hours (example - if stopping drops on a Monday morning, increase calories on Thursday morning)

Phase 3 (P3) :

Diet Stabilization - 3 Weeks*
Phase 3 is the stabilization part of the HCG diet. You are to concentrate on adding back in all foods except sugars and starches. To get the calories up try to add back in some healthy fats first. You can definitely use butter and oils for cooking.

Here are a few tips:
  1. Eat more of what you are used to eating in the early phases, the number of calories you should consume each day should be approximately 11 times your current body weight in calories (i.e. if your current weight after phase 2 is 150 pounds, you should aim to eat 1650 (150 x 11 = 1650) calories each day).
  2. Try to add in only one or two “new” foods each day, we recommend adding low carbohydrate, higher fat foods 1 or 2 at a time. Do not eat sugars or very many carbohydrates.
  3. If you can wait a week before adding dairy, that would be ideal.
  4. If you see a gain of more than 2 pounds from what you weighed on the last day you took drops then you need to do a steak day (wait until 6 pm to eat, then have a steak and an apples) to get back within the 2 pound range. A gain of 2 pounds may mean that you are sensitive or intolerant of that particular food.
This is a stabilization phase and so the 2 pound limit is really important. You must weigh every day and if you see a change in the morning, you must do a steak day to bring the weight back down.

*Stabilization may take 3 weeks to achieve - this would be where you can eat freely the day before and not worry about a weight gain the next morning. This will vary great with each individual. It has taken me 20 days to stabilize where as I have a daughter who stabilized from day 1 of P3.

Phase 4 (P4):

Diet Maintenance - 3 Weeks
Phase 4 is the part of Dr. Simeon's Protocol where we add back in carbohydrates. This can be tricky as a great deal of people are sensitive to wheat, corn, gluten, etc.. If you are sensitive to these foods, you will notice an increase in weight when you eat them. It is imperative to be weighing daily at this time so that a gain will not go unnoticed. Add carbs and limited sugars slowly and one at a time, if you have a gain do a steak day to bring it back to within your 2 pound limit. This Phase lasts 3 weeks.

Go at a pace that you and your body are comfortable with. We can learn a lot about what our body can and can not handle in this phase.

That is the protocol at a glance. From Phase 4, you can go back and do another round starting at Phase 1 (loading) and moving into Phase 2.
